Florida Opera Prima, Inc. (FOP) arises from the need to create a space for the presentation and development of talented artists and spread Opera, Zarzuela and Classical Music in South Florida. The mission is to present, develop and educate the public about classical arts with a focus on opera, zarzuela, and classical music.

In addition, FOP connects to the community year-round through arts education. Florida Opera Prima started the Miami Beach Senior Chorus program that trains seniors in opera and classical singing at senior centers providing artists a space to perform.
